How to make Kuzhalappam

1. 2 cups Maida, 1 tsp. Dalda (thick) 2. 1 tsp. Gingelly seeds, Salt to taste 3. 4 red onions, ½ tsp. Garlic flakes, ¼ tsp. Cumin seeds 4. ¾ cup coconut milk extracted from 1 cup of grated coconut.

Grind the ingredients of the third item and mix in coconut milk. Heat dalda and add the flour and keep stirring over low fire and warm the flour. Allow it to cool. Strain the coconut milk mixture into the flour and knead adding the remaining ingredients. Roll out the dough thinly, cut into small rounds and shape it over the finger into kuzhalappam and deep fry in coconut oil.
